Activate UM IT Account for UM Students
The UM IT Account provides you with a UM email address and access to IT facilities (including wireless access, open access computers, printing, etc.) and to other electronic services (including eSIMS, VLE, eJournals, Google Workspace for Education etc).
Once you successfully complete your studies at UM and become an alumnus/a, you retain your UM IT Account in order to access eSIMS and any services available to alumni. You may also opt to retain your UM email address. Other services available to current students (including Google Workspace for Education) will not be available after you finish your course.
- You can activate your UM IT Account by signing in with your e-ID account (for Maltese National ID holders) OR by using an Activation Code.
- If you forgot your password or you cannot sign in to your UM IT Account using Two-Factor authentication (TFA), you can use this screen to reset your password and/or your TFA settings.
- The activation code is a 12 character code having this format: ABCD-EFGH-JKLM. It appears in the letter of acceptance sent by UM at the beginning of their course to students who might not have an e-ID account.
- Students who have misplaced their acceptance letter or who were not provided with an activation code should contact the International Admissions Office or the Local Admissions Office as applicable. Students are encouraged to keep the letter of acceptance in a safe place for future reference.
